Le Verre de Vin minimises wine waste
Wow, said Lagle Ülper, shift manager at Bar Pino, when she first tried Le Verre de Vin Laite, which vacuums a bottle of wine and fills a bottle of champagne with a protective gas in seconds, and remains enjoyable for up to 21 days after opening.
The wine list at Bar Pino in Helsinki includes 30 different wines.
Thanks to Le Verre de Vin, they are all available by the glass.
The wine is vacuum-pumped and can be sold from one to five days after opening.
Le Verre de Vin promises to keep the wine good for up to 21 days after opening the bottle.
“We can still sell wine from the same bottle after a week and the taste of the drink hasn’t changed,” says shift manager Lagle Ülper.
She always tells customers that the sparkling wine or wine has been open for a few days.
So far, no one has wanted to change the contents of the glass.
Even the champagne bubbles have remained as good as new in the opened bottle, aerated by Le Vin de Verre.
Speed to work
None of Bar Pino’s employees need hand pumps.
The hand pump required two hands and it was muscular and time-consuming to express the bottle.
In addition, getting the right pressure in the bottle was always a puzzle.
The vacuum could be too low or too high.
Le Vin de Verre vacuumed the bottle of wine and filled the champagne bottle with a protective gas to exactly the right pressure in 2-5 seconds.
It’s also quick and easy to use.
The bottle is closed with a special stopper and inserted into the device – even with one hand.
When the light turns green, the wine or champagne in the bottle is protected from nasty chemical reactions.
Le Verre de Vin uses food-grade carbon dioxide as a protective gas for champagne.
Another option is to use a compact 425 gram bottle of carbon dioxide, which is familiar to consumers.
Le Verre de Vin is designed to be not only stylish but also compact.
In Bar Pino, the narrow 120 x 135 mm unit is conveniently located on the counter, close to the wine cabinet.
Around the world, Le Verre de Vin can be found in the restaurants of top chefs such as Joël Robuchon, Alain Ducasse, Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal.
Among champagne houses, at least Moet Hennessy, Krug, Taittinger and Laurent Perrier rely on Le Verre de Vin.
